Amateur Blueberry Bake-off Competition

Who Can Participate?

Contestants MUST be amateurs. Professional chefs, cooks or businesses may NOT enter the contest.

This contest is open to anyone aged 7 and older

Is There An Entry Fee?

No! We encourage any and all members of the community to participate and share their baking talents!

Can I Submit Multiple Entries?

Contestants may have only one entry to be judged.

A household may have multiple entries by separate individuals. Ex. Parent, Child, Grandparent all may have a single submission

What Items Qualify?

Any dessert item, E.g. cakes, cookies, scones, Pies, sweet bread, cobblers, etc. (*candies, jams, or jellies do not qualify)

What Are The Requirements?

Each entry must be homemade and contain at least 1 cup of blueberries

Quantity of any entry must be one full recipe, and single-serve items such as brownies, or cookies must be able to serve 12 people.

Items must be submitted with the application and recipe

How Do I Submit My Entry?

Drop-off will be at the Senior Center, 109 E Main Street, from 10am to 10:45am on April 27th.

All entries must have an application form and recipe submitted.

What happens to my submissions?

All submissions become the property of the Rotary Club and will be offered to the community at the festival for donations of $1 after winners are announced, to then be voted on for a people’s choice award announced at 2pm!

What Is The Judging Process?

Judging will take place at 11:00am

Contestants must be present at Donaldson park to win

Contestants must pick up their dishes by 1:00pm from the senior center. Items not collected will be donated

Judging will be based on taste/appeal, presentation, originality/creativity, and use of blueberries

Are There Incentives For Winning?

Each division will be awarded 1st, 2nd, 3rd place winners (6 total)

1st place: $125 cash prize, certificate of winning, and themed apron and whisk

2nd place: $50 cash prize, certificate of winning and themed apron

3rd place: $25 cash prize, certificate of winning
